Black History Month Schedule
All events will be held at the Parker Harrell Building

Thursday, January 31st: Start setting up display of African-American art, artifacts, historical items, such as washboards, quilts, etc. betweeen 3:30pm - 6:00pm at the Parker Harrell Building.
Firday, February 1st: Finish bringing in items for display between 12pm-5pm. Movie Night will begin @ 6:30pm. The price is $1 for admission. Concession stand will be open.
Saturday, February 2nd: Black Expo 9am-1pm- This will be an opportunity for Black Businesses in the local community to showcase their business. Furthermmore, we will have some presentations on Finance, Health, and Historical Black Colleges and Universitites, etc.
The Children Talent show will be @ 4PM. We ask that all leaders, parents, youth pastors, etc. will come out and support our youth and bring their youth.
Friday, February 8th: Black History Quiz Bowl @ 6pm. The winners of the Essay Contest will be announced.
Sunday, February 17th @ 3pm, Movie Night- The price is $1 for admission. Concession stand will be open.
Monday, February 18th @ 2pm, Teach-In Day- We will have some community leaders and some youth on a panel to discuss some of the issues and concerns within our community. In addition, we will have some speakers.
